Hello. I'm wondering if getting detected at intersections is a problem for motorcycles in Kansas. Some regions, typically warmer ones, use inductive loop sensors in the ground to detect whether there's traffic waiting. The problem is that motorcycles and bicycles often don't get detected. Is that a problem in Kanas? The reason I ask is that I'm designing a device that triggers these traffic sensors by reading the frequency that the sensor is running at, then sending out a signal that will let…Continue
Almost time! This Thursday morning we roll out for just over a weeks vacation, I can't wait! 8 days of wind therapy, headed to the gulf coast to visit family, 1000 miles one way. We've made the trip on 2 wheels several times and have a blast every time. Just out of curiosity, for a trip like this what do you consider mandatory gear/preparation?For us, it's pretty simple. 3 weeks ago, new rear tire and rear brakes, last Saturday I took the scoot in for a 20k service, new front tire, new battery…Continue

Bike riding attracts a lot. But the danger is always associated with bike riding and hence it needs a lot more care and safety measures than does a care driver. A biker must always abide by the rules of safety, he/she should avoid all those tricks and stunts which could be fatal for the rider and for the others. According to HR VBA Training in Chicago, " a bike should used for ride instead of…Continue

Well it seems so easy and fun when we observe other bikers. But reality is somewhat different. Biking attracted me a lot and I thought it as a very simple practice but I was totally surprised when I practically started biking. I stumbled and wriggled a lot initially but finally got balance and skill. It is a skill and it requires technical thinking, road sense and a lot more self confidence. According to Managing Director of the nyc company "…Continue

The thing that makes it even worse is the fact that we often do this without even knowing them. We should really try to take the time to get to know someone before we decide the kind of person that they may be. The following story was posted on FaceBook a while ago. It reveals to us a good…Continue
“Look where you want to go.” Even a beginning rider course should teach you that, and it’s sound advice no matter how much experience you gain. The bike is going to go where you’re looking. If there’s a pothole or debris in front of you, or a car pulls out, or an animal runs into your path, don’t look directly at it—look for a way out, where you want to go.
A busted belt threw a wrench into things. After work on our 2004 Harley Sportster 1200 Custom project started so well, momentum came to a screeching halt after our 10-year-old belt snapped and flew about 25 feet from our bike when we dropped it into gear. Fortunately, we were in our driveway when it happened, so we didn’t get stuck like Chuck with no luck.
But the news…
